Jopro B.V. has been under the spell of cheese for more than 25 years! Previously known as Smaak & Co, we have been the specialist in fresh (cream) cheese, stuffed brie and tapas products since 1998.
We are known for our consistent quality, fresh ingredients, innovative ideas and the best quality.
About Jopro and Gerard Stasse
What started in 1991 as a local cheese store in Ridderkerk, grew under the leadership of Gerard Stasse into an innovative player in the world of cream cheese and filled specialties.
Together with his father he took the first steps, and in 1996 he started producing fresh chive cream cheese and stuffed brie for the store and a number of wholesalers in the converted garage in Sliedrecht. This led to the establishment of John Cheese BV in 1998 and the move to the first premises on the Kubus in Sliedrecht.
In the years that followed, the company moved on to the next phase:
2002: establishment of Jopro as a separate manufacturing BV
2006: introduction of Taste & Co as a sales company and departure from the John Cheese name
2019: establishment of CBT Finefood as a complementary commercial organization
2025: merger of Taste & Co and CBT Finefood into one powerful brand: Jopro BV
With this move, a clear course has been chosen in which production, development and sales come together under one name. In this way, the focus remains entirely on reliability, innovation and transparency
Our vision
We work exclusively with high-quality ingredients. Our fresh chives, for example, are mixed directly with cream cheese, so every bite is rich in flavor and creamy freshness.
Transparency is the basis of strong cooperation. We communicate openly and honestly about product development, price, trends and market developments. In addition, we continue to innovate. Our R&D department continually develops new recipes and looks for ways to make products even tastier, healthier and more sustainable.
